Boruto Episode 292 Reveals a Major Twist: Kawaki Awakens Karma to Defeat Borushiki

In Boruto episode 292, viewers were in for a treat as they witnessed Kawaki awaken his Karma once again. Karma is an inheritance from Isshiki Otsutsuki, which was implanted back into Kawaki by Amado after Isshiki died. According to Amado’s explanation, Kawaki’s intense yearning for power led to the manifestation of his Karma, as he wanted to become stronger to protect the Hokage Ketujuh. As a result, with the reincarnation of Karma, Kawaki was more potent than before and killed Borushiki (Boruto-Momoshiki) right in front of Naruto.

The scene starts when Borushiki keeps attacking Code relentlessly, but Code is deemed not powerful enough to fight him at the moment. It is because the true strength of Code is still imperfect, and his limiter needs to be unlocked by Amado. Code initially tries to flee with Kawaki, but Momoshiki wouldn’t let him. This is because he also needed Kawaki as a sacrificial lamb for the Juubi Ekor Sepuluh.

Momoshiki, with his cleverness, threw a Rasengan jutsu at Code, which slightly wounded him. Kawaki, who felt rescued by Momoshiki, became angry and even attacked him. However, Borushiki easily deflected Kawaki’s moves. As a result, the latter became overwhelmed by Borushiki’s brutal blows and almost had his hand broken.

Just when Borushiki wanted to break Kawaki’s arm, Naruto and Shikamaru showed up. Shikamaru used Kagemane no Jutsu to restrain Borushiki’s movement, while Naruto quickly snatched Kawaki from his footing. However, instead of feeling relieved, Kawaki looked angry at Naruto. He thought that with Naruto and Shikamaru’s appearance, they might endanger Naruto’s life because Momoshiki and Code were present there too.

Despite Kawaki’s concerns, Naruto remained resolute and disregarded his feelings. The jutsu that Shikamaru used to restrain Borushiki seemed to be quite easily absorbed by Momoshiki. Then, an imminent threat came to Naruto as Code held Shikamaru’s neck hostage. If Naruto made a slight move, Code would not hesitate to chop off Shikamaru’s neck. Taking advantage of the situation, Code made a proposal to Momoshiki for a collaboration. This partnership meant killing Hokage Ketujuh, as the threat seemed to confuse Naruto about what to do.

Though initially upset with the orders given by Code, Momoshiki agreed because he held a grudge against Naruto. As we know, Momoshiki resides in Boruto’s body because of his defeat in the fight against Naruto, Sasuke, and the Fifth Kage. This moment is an excellent opportunity for him to take revenge through Naruto’s son’s body.

With his intense yearning to protect Hokage Ketujuh, Kawaki challenged Borushiki with all his remaining strength. However, just like before, Borushiki’s strength proved too much for Kawaki. He was once again battered by Borushiki’s ruthless blows without fail. With Shikamaru held hostage by Code, Naruto’s Sage Mode became useless, and he couldn’t do anything. Then, Borushiki launched his attack by throwing Cho Odama Rasengan towards Naruto. Naruto was prepared to take on the enormous attack, and Kawaki appeared to be preparing something.

And who would have thought that Kawaki automatically activated his Karma again? His desire and longing for great power brought about the Karma. Undoubtedly, he wanted to protect Hokage Ketujuh, who had made his life better. All the characters were astonished to see Kawaki’s transformation that resembled Isshiki Otsutsuki, including Eida, who monitored the scene from far away. Kawaki grew one horn on the left side of his head, and his left eye inherited Isshiki Otsutsuki’s eye. His tone and body language changed to become wiser and colder, and the red-colored Karma tattoo extended through his body. With the Karma, Kawaki became far stronger and began to attack Borushiki furiously. His power was almost identical to that of Isshiki Otsutsuki, such as the Sukunahikona jutsu and the Daikokuten jutsu. A ferocious battle began between Kawaki and Borushiki, with Kawaki ultimately emerging victorious.

Borushiki was thrown far away, and Naruto caught him before Boruto regained consciousness from his possession. Naruto was furious with Kawaki, believing that he had crossed the line as his brother. Kawaki justified his actions, stating that he wanted to protect Hokage Ketujuh from Momoshiki’s threat. Although Momoshiki is currently in Boruto’s body, he would not hesitate to take Naruto’s life through Boruto’s body. However, Naruto refused to accept this and insisted that Boruto was his son, not Momoshiki. But Kawaki was realistic, believing that on the other hand, Boruto was a demon who threatened his father’s life.
