Xiaomi has once again tried its luck in the Indonesian market with the release of Redmi 2 smartphone. This device brings an improvement in its specifications but still comes with an affordable price tag. The Redmi 2 was launched in Indonesia in early April and is priced at Rp 1,599,000 – just around Rp 100,000 more than the Redmi 1s. This price is very reasonable considering the specifications it offers. If you have purchased this smartphone, you may encounter some minor issues while using it. The Redmi 2 comes with 4G LTE network support. However, the LTE network is still in development in Indonesia and is expected to be completed by the end of this year. But do not worry about network issues as all operators will eventually use the LTE 1800 network, which both versions of Redmi 2 support. Currently, the Redmi 2 sold in Indonesia consists of two versions – 2014817 and 2014811. The 2014817 version is a device with an official guarantee and supports LTE networks at 1800, 2600, and 900 MHz frequencies. At the same time, version 2014811 has a distributor guarantee and supports LTE networks at 1800 and 2100 MHz frequencies. Telkomsel uses the LTE 900 frequency in Indonesia, while XL uses the 1800 network.
