The Marines led by Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp, severely damaged the Blackbeard crew. He delivered a devastating attack, the Galaxy Impact, which destroyed their base.

1. Blackbeard was once a member of the Whitebeard Pirates, one of the most powerful pirate crews of their time. This was the same crew that Rocks’ member, Kaido, was also a part of.

2. Blackbeard’s trademark weapon, the Yami Yami no Mi or the Dark-Dark Fruit, previously belonged to a member of the Rocks crew, who was known for their darkness-related abilities.

3. Blackbeard’s ultimate goal is to become the Pirate King. This was the same ambition that Rocks had during their time, and Blackbeard may have been inspired by his legacy.
