The Connection Between Momonosuke and Yonkou Kaido in One Piece

Did you know that in the anime One Piece, there is an interesting fact about Momonosuke and Yonkou Kaido that may have gone unnoticed? In fact, it turns out that Momonosuke is related to Yonkou Kaido through blood ties, and even the World Government through Cipher Pol is aware of this. According to Tiktok Tatsunime, when Cipher Pol arrived in Wano, they discussed the reason why Momonosuke has a Devil Fruit that transforms him into a dragon.

Apparently, while playing in one of Wano’s castles, a member of Cipher Pol mentioned that there was a failed Devil Fruit created by Vegapunk on Punk Hazard Island, but within this fruit contains the blood of Yonkou Kaido. “There is a Devil Fruit made using Kaido’s blood,” one of the Cipher Pol members said in One Piece’s Wano arc. The World Government initially asked Vegapunk to hand over the Devil Fruit, but he insisted that it was a failed product.

Since it was deemed a failure, the Devil Fruit was then stored on Punk Hazard, which was considered an uninhabitable place. However, the island still had one active lab, which was used to produce artificial Devil Fruits that were sent to Kaido. But it turns out that Momonosuke consumed the Devil Fruit made by Vegapunk instead. This is one reason why he has the same transformation ability as Kaido, as the blood within the Devil Fruit he ate came from Kaido.

Even Kaido himself does not know why Momonosuke consumed a Devil Fruit made from his blood. For reference, Kaido’s Uo Uo no Mi Devil Fruit is a Mythical Zoan type that transforms him into a legendary creature. This Devil Fruit is considered very mysterious, as Kaido can transform into a dragon and fly in space, making it a very formidable power to have.

In conclusion, besides the ongoing war between Eiichiro Oda’s protagonists and Yonkou Kaido, there is a subtle yet unique relationship between Momonosuke and Kaido tied to a common source, a failed Devil Fruit. The story behind the two characters’ connection adds depth to their dynamics and intrigue to One Piece’s overall narrative.
