Toy Story is a classic American computer-animated film directed by John Lasseter that has become a part of the collective memories of 90s kids. This $30 million production, released in 1995, was a huge impact in the film industry by introducing computer-generated animation.

The film follows the story of several toys that come to life when humans are not around. Of all the toys, two stand out the most: the cowboy Woody and the modern space ranger, Buzz Lightyear. These two toys become the center of attention in the animated film.

The film takes place in 1995 and is an adventure, animation, comedy, family, and fantasy genre. The director John Lasseter takes us on an engaging story with an all-star cast including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Don Rickles, and Wallace Shawn.

Andy receives many gifts from his family, which makes his other toys curious if there are any new toys that could replace them. Woody, one of Andy’s favorite toys, leads the other toys to spy on Andy’s presents. Woody instructs the military toys to go to the living room to gather information about Andy’s gifts. Woody communicates with the other toys through a baby monitor. Other main characters in the scene include Mr. Potato Head, Slinky Dog, and Rex, who all appear nervous.

To everyone’s surprise, Andy’s mother gives him a new action-figure, Buzz Lightyear. Woody feels jealous as this toy threatens his place as Andy’s favorite toy. Woody comes up with a plan to get rid of Buzz, but things do not go as planned.

Woody’s plan was to make Buzz disappear so Andy would not see him. However, Woody accidentally knocks Buzz out of the window, causing the other toys to believe he intended to harm Buzz. Woody then immediately goes out to find Buzz, but he is nowhere to be found.

Two days before the Davis family is moving Andy and his sister go out with their mom to eat at Pizza Planet. However, Andy’s mother reminds him to bring only one toy. Woody and Buzz then work together to catch up to Andy by hitching a ride on a delivery truck. They finally arrive at Pizza Planet to see Andy, but when Buzz sees a toy claw machine, he thinks they’re aliens and wants to investigate. Woody then follows Buzz to make sure they get back to Andy, but they’re too late. Andy’s evil neighbor, Sid Phillips, sees them and takes them to claim them as his toys.

Woody and Buzz, along with three small alien toys, panic at the sight of Sid’s mutant toys in his room. After a while, Woody convinces Buzz that their primary mission is to make their owner, Andy, happy. The conversation rejuvenates Buzz’s spirit, and together with the other toys, they plan to escape. Woody informs Buzz that they are Toys, and their purpose is to bring joy to children. The encounter recovers Buzz’s sense of purpose, and he teams up with Woody to escape the confines of Sid’s house.
