Stranger Things has returned for its highly anticipated fourth season, and it does not disappoint. This season is split into two parts, the first of which was released on May 27th, 2022, with the second set to air on July 1st, 2022. The show picks up months after the events of the previous season, with the world still reeling from the chaos wrought by the Upside Down. But a new threat has emerged, and it’s more terrifying than anything we’ve seen before.

The season follows the Byers family, who have relocated to California, where Eleven is struggling to adjust to a new school while also dealing with the sudden loss of her powers. Meanwhile, back in Hawkins, Indiana, Mike, Dustin, and Lucas have formed a new Dungeons & Dragons group, while Max is still grieving the loss of her brother, Billy. And as always, there’s something strange going on in Hawkins.

Joyce Byers receives a package from Russia containing a doll and a note that suggests her presumed dead friend, Jim Hopper, is actually alive and being held prisoner. Joyce and Murray try to rescue him, but things don’t go according to plan. Meanwhile, a popular cheerleader named Chrissy Cunningham begins experiencing terrifying visions and is eventually possessed by a creature from the Upside Down. As the body count starts to rise, it’s up to our favorite characters to unravel the mystery and save the day.

The Return of the Upside Down

Season 4 of Stranger Things brings us back to the dark and dangerous world of the Upside Down. Despite the defeat of the Mind Flayer in the previous season, the Upside Down is still very much a threat. A new monster has emerged, and it’s more powerful and terrifying than anything the gang has faced before. The stakes are higher than ever, and it’s up to Eleven and her friends to save the world once again.

New Threats and Old Friends

As with every season of Stranger Things, there are new faces and old friends. Jamie Campbell Bower joins the cast as Peter Ballard, a subject of Hawkins Lab who has powers similar to Eleven. Meanwhile, fan-favorite character Jim Hopper is revealed to be alive, but he’s being held prisoner in Russia. It’s up to Joyce and Murray to rescue him, but they quickly find themselves in over their heads.

Conclusion:

Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 1 continues the trend of high-stakes, high-drama storytelling that we’ve come to expect from the hit Netflix series. This season is darker and more intense than the ones that came before it, and it keeps us on the edge of our seats from beginning to end. With new threats, old friends, and plenty of twists and turns, it’s a must-watch for fans of the series.
