Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation is a sequel to the 1997 sci-fi movie that was released in 2004. The movie tells the story of a mission to the planet Zulu Alpha, which is controlled by Bugs. Despite their best efforts, the human soldiers struggle to defeat the Bugs, even with their laser weapons and sixth sense abilities. General Jack Shepherd devises a plan to save the surviving members of his team, including Sergeant Dede Rake, Lieutenant Pavlov Dill, Jill Sandee, and her lover, Duff Horton. They manage to find a safe place to hide from the Bugs, but things go awry when a storm hits the planet.

As the situation becomes more dangerous, Shepherd becomes increasingly frustrated with his subordinates, particularly Sahara, who he thinks failed to use her sixth sense due to puberty. Eventually, they take shelter in Hotel Delta 1-8-5, a human-built stronghold. Captain Dax, a skilled martial artist, is held captive there for murdering his superior officer. The team faces more challenges as their communication devices fail due to the storm, and the soldiers’ behavior becomes increasingly strange. Sahara sees more and more visions due to her sixth sense, and the team discovers the Bugs have an ability to enter and control the human mind.

A series of events unfold that leads to the team wondering who they can trust and fearing for their survival. Bickering ensues, and they discover who has succumbed to the Bugs’ mind control, and who has not. Sahara uses her sixth sense to telepathically communicate with the mind-controlled members of the team, discovering a plot by the Bugs to take over the world. Her efforts become crucial in preventing the plan, but not without a few sacrifices along the way.
