Minecraft and Dungeons and Dragons Team Up for Epic DLC Adventure

Mojang Studios has joined forces with Wizards of the Coast to bring together Dungeons and Dragons and Minecraft. This partnership will result in the form of a DLC package, which will soon be released for the Sandpox Video Game.

Minecraft has announced its collaboration with Dungeons and Dragons, with the Wizards of the Coast license embracing Mojang’s success by creating a DLC that looks and feels like its own game. The DLC is scheduled to be launched this spring on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XS, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.

The Dungeons and Dragons Minecraft DLC pack will allow players to customize themselves as one of the fantasy table-top game’s player classes. While many details about the package are still unavailable, it will enable players to explore various parts of the D&D universe, including locations like Icewind Dale and Candlekeep. Of course, players can also battle D&D monsters such as Beholders, Mimics, and more. The package will be released this spring, but pricing is yet to be determined.

In addition, several Minecraft mobs have been adapted for use by table-top D&D players. Wizards of the Coasts will release a new Dreadful Compendium, which will cover info, art, and statistics for five Minecraft creatures such as The Creeper, the Wolves of the Overworld, and more.

“Dungeons and Dragons Akan Hadir di Minecraft,” said Mojang in an official video description. Along with dragon allies, players will delve into a journey guided by high-flying narration. Explore five iconic locations from the Forgotten Realms like Icewind Dale and Candlekeep while battling Beholders, Mimics, Mind Flayers, and more.

Players can choose from a selection of four classes, including Paladin, Barbarian, Wizard, and Rogue, to increase player stats and unlock spells like fireball and magic missile. They can even roll dice to avoid risky situations. The video shows that the DLC looks entirely different from Minecraft, immersing players in a traditional RPG where progress and missions take on genre nuances, and new mechanics have been added to the mix.

The new monsters and creatures that can be fought completely surpass the existing enemy skins. It all indicates that it will be an essential product for Dungeons and Dragons fans. Currently, its price is yet to be revealed, even though players must have a copy of Minecraft first to access the store and purchase this content.

Alongside Dungeons and Dragons, Minecraft Legends are also scheduled to make its debut on April 18, 2023, on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series XS, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
