Polar Tang: Trafalgar D. Law’s Pirate Ship Destroyed by Blackbeard

One Piece fans know that ships play a crucial part in the story. And when it comes to Trafalgar D. Law’s ship, the Polar Tang, it is no exception. In Chapter 1081 of the One Piece manga, Law loses to Blackbeard, who wants to take Law’s devil fruit. Bepo, seeing Law in danger, transforms into sulong and attacks Kurohige’s men, saving Law in the process.

However, the Polar Tang was not as lucky. Law’s unique submarine-like ship, made of metal and powered by an engine instead of sails, met its end. It was destroyed by Blackbeard and his crew, who also caused Law’s defeat.

The Polar Tang’s design stands out compared to other pirate ships. It has a green color in front and yellow in the back, with circular windows that cover the vessel. The Heart Pirates’ Jolly Roger and Law’s “DEATH” tattoo are visible on the outside, while the ship is equipped with street lamp-like lighting to see in the murky depths.

But what makes this ship a standout is its advanced medical room, where Law can perform intricate surgeries. During the Marineford War, Law saves Luffy with his surgical skills onboard the Polar Tang.

During the Battle of Marineford, the Heart Pirates arrived on the Polar Tang to help Luffy. They escaped with Luffy and Jinbe by avoiding Aokiji’s Ice Age and Kizaru’s Yasakani no Magatama. Law left Luffy and Jinbe to Boa Hancock for their recovery, and the Heart Pirates sailed away on a stolen ship.

If you are a One Piece fan, then you surely appreciate the details and unique qualities of the Polar Tang. Unfortunately, it met its end at the hands of the infamous Blackbeard. But the ship will always be remembered as a one-of-a-kind vessel that not only saved Luffy’s life but also aided Trafalgar D. Law in his battles.
