Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 2: The Final Battle Against Gyutaro and Daki

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, the anime series that everyone waits for every week, is now entering its final stage for Season 2. With the success of the previous episode, the demon slayers, Tanjiro, Izui Tengen, Zenitsu, and Inosuke, finally defeated Gyutaro and Daki, the level six moon demons. Despite the challenging and close battle, they emerged victorious, leaving the demon slayers bruised and battered. Izui Tengen, the Hashira leader in this operation, even lost some body parts, including his hand and eyes due to Gyutaro’s poison.

Inosuke and Tanjiro were also poisoned by Gyutaro’s scythe, while Zenitsu fought relentlessly against Daki. The trio was left exhausted and poisoned, but they still had to face the explosion caused by Gyutaro and Daki’s poison. They may have won the battle, but they needed to rest for an extended period.

Their battle against Gyutaro and Daki showcased Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke’s fighting skills. As mentioned earlier, Daki is one of the oldest and most powerful demons who has killed seven Hashiras. Meanwhile, Gyutaro, his brother, has killed fifteen. A Hashira’s chances of surviving a battle with a high-ranked moon demon are only one percent. However, in the final battle, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu displayed abilities equivalent to Izui Tengen’s.

In the demon slayer corps, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke are still rookies. They have not killed many demons yet and are still far from becoming Hashiras. To become a Hashira, a demon slayer has to kill fifty demons or members of the Twelve Kizuki, the moon demons, to reach the highest rank known as Kinoe. Another requirement to become a Hashira is being a Tsugoku or apprentice to a Hashira, who decides whether or not the apprentice can replace them eventually.

Had Tanjiro obtained a Kinoe rank for killing Enmu, a lower-ranked moon demon, during the Mugen Train Arc with Kyojuro, he would have been considered a Hashira. Unfortunately, he was only ranked Kanoe, which is far from the level of a Hashira. Their success in decapitating Gyutaro and Daki was due to Izui Tengen’s repeated assistance.

However, Izui Tengen acknowledged that Tanjiro, Zenitsu, and Inosuke were his brilliant apprentices. Thus, there is a possibility that the three will be trained to become Hashiras under Izui Tengen’s guidance in the demon slayer corps. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba fans will surely anticipate the next episodes that will reveal the outcome of Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu’s future in demon slaying.
