Synopsis
In 1944, Klaus Schmidt, an officer in the Nazi army, witnesses a young boy named Erik Lehnsherr bend a metal gate with his powers in a concentration camp. After witnessing Erik’s powers, Schmidt takes him to his headquarters, where he kills two guards and destroys the room. Years later, in New York, Charles Xavier, a telepathic boy, meets Raven, a shape-shifting mutant who he takes in as his adoptive sister. Meanwhile, Erik has escaped from a concentration camp and is searching for Schmidt to avenge his mother’s death.
In 1962, during the Cuban Missile Crisis, Erik and Charles come together to fight Schmidt. They create a team of mutants with extraordinary powers and track down Schmidt. Schmidt has renamed himself Sebastian Shaw and is using his powers to manipulate the course of events and start a nuclear war. Schmidt has recruited a group of mutants, which includes Emma Frost, Riptide, and Azazel, to aid him in his quest for world dominance.
As the team of mutants attempts to stop Shaw, they learn more about each other and become closer. However, Shaw is a powerful adversary, and the mutants must learn to use their powers to defeat him. In the end, they succeed, but not without some casualties.
