Naruto Uzumaki, one of the most beloved characters in the Shounen manga, has caught the attention of the fans in the sequel, Boruto. Reports suggest that Naruto Uzumaki has died in Boruto, and fans are left confused and worried. However, in the prologue of Boruto, the fans get to see the clash between Naruto’s son and a mysterious boy named Kawaki. The aftermath of the fight leaves the surroundings in ruins, and Naruto’s fate remains ambiguous.
Although fans assume that Naruto is in danger, the recent events show that Naruto Uzumaki is not dead yet. In the previous chapter of Boruto, fans get to know that Naruto has adopted Kawaki and calls him his own son. He saves him from Isshiki and gives him a new life, which makes Kawaki rebel against the enemy to protect his loved ones. He vows to eradicate all the Otsutsuki and destroy them to protect everyone he loves.
Kawaki realizes that Naruto has lost the power of Kurama and has become weaker than before. Therefore, he does everything in his power to prevent Naruto from being hurt by foes like Otsutsuki. He even sent Naruto and Hinata Uzumaki to a different dimension to keep them safe from danger. This event occurs as Kawaki mentions to Boruto that he will send him to the same place where he sent the Hokage 7th.
While being trapped in another dimension, Naruto does not appear in Boruto for a long time. To save him, Boruto needs to defeat Kawaki and bring him back to his senses. Naruto remains absent until the timeskip, where Kawaki is fighting with Boruto. We can assume that Naruto will return only after everything has come to an end.
If Naruto does return, it doesn’t signify that the plot will change. Naruto seems to have a subdued presence in the story, indicating that his future as Hokage 7th Konoha is uncertain. However, fans will have to wait for a long time to see Naruto back in action on the show.
