Wano and Paradise: The Two Popular Anime Islands Rich in Resources and Supernatural Power

One Piece and Attack on Titan, two of the most popular anime series, now both revolve around life on an island. One Piece tells the story of a country in a closed-off island called Wano, while Attack on Titan is set on an island named Paradise. Both of these islands are beyond the reach of the average human civilization, making them a target for many due to their abundance of natural resources.

Wano is a country that has been closed off and hard to find, due in part to the knowledge of its ancestors in carving and reading Poneglyphs. The country had been peaceful, beautiful, and fruitful before the Kozuki clan’s defeat and the arrival of Kaido, who cooperated with Orochi to exploit the island’s natural and human resources. Kaido and Orochi’s exploitation has caused the environment to be severely polluted, and the people of Wano are now tired of their exploitation for the past 20 years since Kozuki Oden’s defeat.

Now, the allies of Momonosuke and the Straw Hat Pirates are working to overthrow Orochi and Kaido, reclaiming Wano. It is a peaceful country that is simultaneously remote and isolated from other countries. Thus, when Wano was cheated, its people who have been living peacefully cannot fight back unless they get help from outside.

On the other hand, Paradise on Attack on Titan is no different from Wano. It is described as a peaceful and safe island, and for a long time, the people of Eldia who lived there believed they were the remnants of human civilization living inside the wall. Outside the wall, there is no life because all humans have been eaten by the Titans. Eldia was once a great empire that colonized other nations, including Marley, for 1700 years, using the power of the titans. Raja Fritz was defeated and forced back to a remote island called Paradise.

Paradise is a remote island and is protected by three layers of walls, namely Maria, Rose, and Sina. These walls were built by relying on the power of titans, an ability that Raja Fritz has passed down for generations. The people of Marley violated the peace agreement after 80 years and tried to conquer Eldia, aiming to seize the natural resources on Paradise Island. When Marley attacked Eldia on Paradise Island, Eldia lost heavily, but they were bestowed with supernatural power called Titans that saved Eldia.

Both in One Piece’s Wano and Attack on Titan’s Paradise, they share similarities in that both are rich in natural resources, the leaders are bestowed with supernatural power, and are remote and isolated from modern human civilization.

In conclusion, both of these islands play a significant role in their respective anime series, and their rich cultural and historical aspects make them a popular setting for the stories. The storylines of these islands undoubtedly make the viewers feel intrigued, and they remain strongly attached to the shows due to their fascination with these islands’ mysterious settings.
