One Piece’s mangaka, Eiichiro Oda, has always been a master of creating mysteries within his story. In one of his sessions, he made a bold statement about the legendary Pluton, One Piece’s ancient weapon. According to him, the Pluton was the Thousand Sunny, the trademark ship of Monkey D Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates. However, he contradicted himself later by claiming that the Thousand Sunny was not the Pluton.

Many fans were confused about Oda’s statement, but experts on One Piece believe that this was a hidden clue in the story’s puzzle. These experts think that Oda meant that the Thousand Sunny was a part of the Pluton, making it a puzzle or a fragment of the ancient weapon. Some even think that the Sunny is the control center of the Pluton itself, making it the most central part of the most deadly sea weapon in the world of One Piece.

The fans’ theory has some merit, especially since Franky, one of the Straw Hat Pirates’ members, is slowly turning the Thousand Sunny into one of the deadliest sea weapons. Franky is a great shipbuilder as well as someone who has acquired an in-depth knowledge of One Piece’s ancient weapons. He saw the blueprints of the Pluton before it got burned down, and he might have memorized the construction of the ancient weapon.

One of the crucial aspects that enhance the Thousand Sunny’s potential as Pluton is its design. It is made of Adam Wood, a legendary material known for its incredible strength, and it was once used in Gol D Roger’s ship. Franky might have the knowledge to upgrade the weapon’s central pillar, Thousand Sunny’s Gaon Cannon.

Franky has always had a fascination with warships. When he was a kid, his dream was to create the most powerful warship in the world. If fans can imagine what the most powerful warship might be, it would be Pluton. Therefore, it is safe to assume that, even though the Thousand Sunny is only a mode of transportation for Luffy and his crew, Franky will upgrade its power to turn it into one of the strongest ancient weapons, the Pluton.

Along with the Pluton, One Piece’s story features two other ancient weapons, Poseidon and Uranus. Poseidon is a Mermaid Princess with the ability to communicate with the Sea Kings. Shirahoshi, who is the current wielder of this weapon, inherited this ability from her mother. As for Uranus, nothing is known about it except for its name, and given the nature of Pluton and Poseidon, Uranus could be alive or inanimate.

Although the Pluton has yet to appear in the story, it is known as one of the most destructive ships in existence. Franky’s mentor, Tom, possessed the blueprints to make it, which he later gave to his fellow student Iceburg. However, Franky, who was also Iceburg’s disciple, memorized the blueprint and destroyed it.

In conclusion, Eiichiro Oda’s statement about the Thousand Sunny being the Pluton created a lot of confusion, but it also gave fans a clue about the ship’s true identity. Franky’s skills as a shipbuilder, his knowledge of One Piece’s ancient weapons, and his fascination with warships make him the perfect candidate to turn the Thousand Sunny into the legendary Pluton.
