The Longest Serving Hokage in Naruto: Kakashi Hatake

Posted on

Kakashi Hatake was the sixth Hokage of Konohagakure, succeeding Tsunade. Hokage fans might assume that his reign was brief, but in reality, he served for a very long time. In this article, we will explore the length of Kakashi’s reign and compare it with the other Hokages who served after Hashirama Senju.

Kakashi served as Hokage after the Fourth Shinobi World War, and he was only replaced after Naruto became Hokage, which means he had been in power for about 10 to 12 years. During this time, Naruto Uzumaki served as Hokage for about 4 to 8 years, depending on what the future holds for him.

Hashirama Senju, considered one of the greatest shinobi in history, served as Hokage for only four to five years. Meanwhile, Tsunade’s tenure as Hokage was under four years, as she resigned after the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War.

Minato Namikaze’s reign was the shortest among Hokages, lasting for only one and a half years. Similarly, Tobirama Senju’s term as Hokage was even shorter, as he died during the First Shinobi World War, with his reign lasting less than a year.

Only Hiruzen had served as Hokage for longer than Kakashi. Hiruzen assumed the position initially after Hashirama and then again after the death of Minato. Overall, he served as Hokage for around twenty-five years.

In summary, Kakashi Hatake served as Hokage for a considerable amount of time compared to his predecessors, making him one of the longest-serving Hokages in the Naruto series. While Hokage reigns can be short-lived, the impact they have on the shinobi world is immeasurable.
