“KKN Di Desa Penari: Luwih Dowo, Luwih Medeni” is a horror, mystery, and thriller movie directed by Awi Suryadi. The movie stars Tissa Biani, Adinda Thomas, Achmad Megantara, Aghniny Haque, and Calvin Jeremy. It was released in 2022 and produced by MD Entertainment.
The movie depicts a group of college students who set out to a remote village to carry out their community service program of KKN (Kuliah Kerja Nyata). The movie begins with Nur (Tissa Biani) and Ayu (Aghniny Haque) surveying the rural village, accompanied by Kak Ilham (Andri Mashadi), Ayu’s brother. They meet Pak Prabhu (Kiki Narendra) and request permission to carry out KKN in the village. Initially, Pak Prabhu refuses, but after a discussion, he agrees to their request.
While Ayu is convincing Pak Prabhu, Nur feels uncomfortable in the rural village. During their visit to a “Sinden” location, Nur sees a scary figure standing upright behind the trees. In another location, Widya (Adinda Thomas) tries to reassure her mother that she is safe during KKN.
The day finally arrives when Nur, Ayu, Widya, Bima (Achmad Megantara), Anton (Calvin Jeremy), and Wahyu (Fajar Nugraha) come to the rural village. On the first day, various problems arise about the attitudes of some KKN participants, starting with Wahyu’s reckless comments and Widya’s mention of gamelan in the middle of the forest. Ayu reminds her friends to behave while they live in the village. However, Ayu never knew that she would be the one to break the most important rules in the village.
At first, only Nur and Widya felt strange things happening around them, but they decided to question Pak Prabhu. According to Mbah Buyut (Diding Boneng Zeta), the guardian of the village’s lelembut (supernatural creatures), Nur and Widya had done something to make the lelembut angry, but Pak Prabhu refused to reveal the truth behind it.
As the story unfolds, the suspense and mystery of the village become more intense when strange and terrifying incidents happen. The 40-minute addition to the story promised by the director and producer holds many more surprising twists and turns than viewers expect. The mysterious creatures and spirits haunt the KKN participants, creating a chilling and spooky atmosphere.
In conclusion, “KKN Di Desa Penari: Luwih Dowo, Luwih Medeni” is a unique and captivating horror, mystery, and thriller movie that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats from start to finish. With the addition of the 40-minute extension, the movie is sure to offer an unforgettable viewing experience for those who dare to watch it.
