In this special holiday episode of The Guardians of the Galaxy, fans get to see their favorite Guardians appearing on Disney+. The success of the Guardians franchise is once again brought to life in this 44-minute holiday special. The special is part of MCU phase 4 and will be directed by James Gunn. Kevin Feige, the creator of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has written the story, which has already become one of his favorites.
The Storyline
The story takes place after the events that occurred at End Game. The Guardians have purchased the Knowhere from The Collector and are now living there. Mantis, Rocket, Drax, Groot, Nebula, and Karen Gillan are all living together, and so is Peter Quill. Although Quill is not someone who likes to be sad, he is still struggling with the loss of his lover Gamora. Despite this, he is helping the people around him.
As Christmas approaches, it reminds Kraglin of the first Christmas he spent with Peter when he was a child. Kraglin narrates the story to Drax and Mantis. Peter was very excited to prepare Christmas gifts and even prepared a gift for Yondu.
When Yondu arrived and Peter gave him the present, Yondu declined it and even destroyed all of the Christmas decorations that Peter and Kraglin had prepared. That was the last time they celebrated Christmas together.
Mantis decides to give Peter the best Christmas present ever, to help him get over the loss of Gamora. Drax remembers that Peter idolizes Kevin Bacon, so he thinks that it would be a good idea to bring Kevin Bacon to Knowhere to meet Peter.
Although Mantis and Drax find it difficult to locate Kevin Bacon, they manage to find him eventually in a store selling maps. The thrill of the chase and the ensuing comedy of errors make for an entertaining story.
