High School DxD season 1 is an anime series that has captured the attention of many fans, particularly male viewers, with its Ecchi genre. Created by Ichiei Ishibumi, the series follows the journey of a teenager named Issei Hyoudou, who is killed and later revived as a half-devil. Initially, Issei was a lecherous teenager who lived a peaceful life and aspired to become the king of a harem surrounded by beautiful women. Issei and his two friends enjoyed peeping at girls in school, and Issei was the first to have a girlfriend. However, the arrival of his girlfriend leads him on an exciting adventure in the world of demons.

The first season of High School DxD shows three silly teenagers who daydream about lewd fantasies while lying on the grass. They mourn their fate because reality has betrayed them. Issei Hyodo and his two friends, Matsuda and Motohama, haven’t seen any signs of their desire to become the Harem King come true yet. They believe that by joining Kuoh Academy, where male students are scarce, they will easily gain popularity. However, their assumptions fall flat when they meet Yuuto Kiba, who is even more popular than them.

One day, Issei meets a cute girl who appears to be innocent and attends another school. The girl, whose name is Amano Yuma, confesses to Issei that she has had a crush on him for a long time and asks him out on a date. Of course, Issei accepts the invitation since Yuma is the dream girl he had been longing for. Issei was supposed to have a pleasant first date with Yuma, but it turns out that the cute girl with long hair is actually a Fallen Angel who is after Issei. She lured Issei into a discreet park and revealed her true identity, intending to kill him with her sword brutally.

It is revealed that Raynare had to kill Issei because he possessed a Holy Gear that endangered her and the fallen angels. Fortunately, Rias Gremory comes to his rescue and revives him. However, since his resurrection, Issei has changed a lot. He has become more potent, and his reflexes have increased. That’s when Rias informs him that he is a half-human, half-devil creature and has become a member of her peerage. Issei then joins the club that Rias leads and meets other members such as Himejima Akano, Yuuto Kiba, and Koneko Toujou. Issei is not a pure devil like them, and he lacks powerful magic. However, he has a Holy Gear on his body that can be developed. With this Holy Gear, Issei can defeat his enemies, and his strength can be doubled every ten seconds.
