Meanwhile, Athena deals with personal problems at home with her gay husband and drug-addict daughter.

Bobby and his team respond to an accident involving a hot air balloon in a cliffside housing estate in the third episode, and Athena stays with her hospitalized daughter who has overdosed. In the same episode, Howie proposes to his girlfriend Tatiana, but when she rejects him, he loses control of his emotions and gets in an accident. He survives despite a long metal rod piercing his head.

In the fourth episode, a flight disaster involving 176 passengers requires the first responders’ attention. In the fifth episode, Bobby’s past is revealed as a former alcoholic and drug addict who caused a fire in his apartment building that resulted in the deaths of his wife, child, and 148 other people. Four months after returning to work, he tries to be a better person. On the other hand, Abby’s mother is found, and Evan shows his interest in her by saving her.

Athena responds to a call about a girl named Melora who has murdered her boyfriend in episode six. Melora manipulates the situation and takes Athena hostage to give her boyfriend a new heart. Meanwhile, Evan and Abby go on a Valentine’s Day date but are interrupted when Evan chokes on his food.

The seventh episode takes place during a full moon, which is known to cause strange events to happen. This episode focuses on a couple having a baby in an unusual way. It is one of the creepiest episodes in the series.
