The movie starts with four teenage girls – Galleria, Chanel, Aqua, and Dorinda, who belong to a famous girl group called The Cheetah Girls in Manhattan. The group put in all their effort to achieve success in their music career. However, when Galleria left to attend college at Cambridge, The Cheetah Girls started to struggle. They became confused about how to keep their music career going and started feeling hopeless after numerous failed auditions.

One day, while having a meal in an Indian restaurant, Dorinda becomes mesmerized by a Ganesha statue and later hears that the statue can bring a person good luck. Later, after Chanel gets a phone call, the girls hear about an audition for starring roles in a Hollywood film, and they are thrilled at the opportunity.

The girls arrive at the audition studio and give it their all, with their singing skills impressing Vikram, the film’s director, who agrees to cast them as the main characters in the Bollywood film Namaste Bombay. The girls are ecstatic about the opportunity, but Dorinda becomes confused after realizing that the film is Bollywood, not Hollywood. Aqua shows support for Dorinda’s opinion, while Chanel disagrees and tries to convince them both to take the starring roles.
