Vice Versa is a Thai drama series that tells the story of Lay Talay, a colorist who is passionate about the world of film and showcases the emotions of humans through colors. One day, Lay wakes up in an alternate universe, in the body of a young man named Tess Thattawa. Lay finds himself lost in this world, trying to find a way back to his own universe. The series explores themes of friendship, family, mystery, and romance, and is directed by X Nuttapong Mongkolsawas.

The story begins with Lay struggling to find work as a colorist. His friend Gyo introduces him to an actor named Puen, who he admires. Lay makes a hat for Puen and gives it to him, which leads to Puen asking him to be an extra in his film. Despite his reservations, Lay agrees to work as an extra because of his hard-working nature.

While shooting the film, Lay’s cell phone rings with an offer to work at Behind the Film Bangkok Company, where he previously interviewed. Later, Lay and his friends celebrate his new job by going to the beach where Lay nearly drowns. He wakes up to unfamiliar parents who explain that he was involved in a bar fight, but Lay has no memory of it. He also realizes that he is not in his own body but has woken up in Tess’s body.

Lay meets Phuwadol, a nurse who is the only person who believes him, and informs him that he has traveled to another universe. Lay discovers that he needs to find a portkey to return to his own universe. Lay learns that he needs to find someone who has also traveled from his universe at the same time he did, with whom he would have a connection in his dream. However, this is dangerous because if one person dies, the other will die too.

He meets several people who have traveled to this universe, each with their own experiences and stories. These interactions lead to a deeper understanding of himself and the world around him.

In conclusion, Vice Versa is a well-directed, well-acted series that explores the themes of alternate universes, identity, friendship, and love. The portrayal of Lay’s struggles to return to his own universe while being stuck in Tess’s body is aptly done, and the series provides a unique take on the classic body-swapping trope. The series’s evergreen nature and unique plot make it an interesting watch for those who enjoy romantic, fantasy dramas.
