Spy x Family: An Interesting Anime About a Spy Posing as a Family Man
Spy x Family is the popular anime series that fans of different ages have been enjoying lately. The anime tells the story of Loid Forger, a professional spy from Westalis. He is on a mission to prevent a war from happening and for that, he must pretend to be a family man. He asks Yor, who is essentially a hitman, to pose as his wife. Although Loid is a spy, he never suspects his wife. On the other hand, Yor has no idea that Loid is a spy. She thinks Loid works as a doctor at a hospital.
To accomplish his mission, Loid has to adopt a child. He goes to an orphanage and adopts Anya to become his daughter. Anya is known for being mischievous and has been returned by her foster parents several times. However, thanks to her telepathic abilities, Anya manages to show her intelligence and Loid decides to adopt her. Loid accompanies Anya as she prepares to enroll in the elite school, Eden. With Anya studying at Eden, Loid has many opportunities to get closer to his target, Donovan Desmond, a politician who enrolls his son in the same school. Although Loid almost gave up because of Anya’s behavior, he eventually manages to enroll in the elite school.
When the two adoptive parents hide their identities from each other, Anya is the only one who knows the truth. She does her best to help her father accomplish his mission, including getting close to Donovan Desmond’s son and classmate, Demian. When Anya enters Eden and becomes the target of Demian’s bullying, she remains patient and smiles. But when Demian bullies her father, Anya gets angry and practices the martial arts taught by her mother. Unfortunately, this results in Anya being reprimanded by the school and reducing her chances of becoming a distinguished student who is usually invited to official meetings. The meeting is actually Loid’s target to get closer to Donovan.
Despite her age, Anya is an expert in pretending not to know the true identities of her adoptive parents. She follows in the footsteps of Loid and Yor in this regard. Additionally, she is learning to fight like them. Because of this, although Anya is an adoptive child, she is worthy of being their true daughter.
