Here is a detailed synopsis and review of the anime:

The anime takes place in a future Japan where society has collapsed under the weight of rust wind, a natural phenomenon which causes people to suffer. Bisco, a young man known as a criminal who protects mushrooms, begins a journey to find the legendary Sabikui mushroom, which is believed to hold the key to survival in a world under the threat of rust wind.

In the first two episodes, we see a man arriving at the border between Prefecture Gunma and Imihama. He is a Buddhist monk on a spiritual journey, but due to the current terror happening in Japan, the guards are suspicious. Meanwhile, in the city of Imihama, a doctor known as “Dr. Panda” is researching a cure for the rust wind disease that has infected many people. However, a criminal known as Akaboshi Bisco attacks and causes chaos in the city. Bisco happens to be at the scene and is able to protect himself and others by transforming into a giant mushroom. He becomes known as a protector of mushrooms.

Bisco kidnaps Milo, who is Dr. Panda’s sister, to ask for help in saving Jabi. Jabi was shot and injured by the elite forces of Governor Kurokawa, who are hunting Bisco relentlessly. Milo treats Jabi, who is suffering from rust wind disease, and discovers that the rust wind was not caused by the mushrooms but rather by the lack of them. The Sabikui mushroom, in fact, has the power to cure the rust wind.

In the third episode, Bisco captures Chiroru and is attacked by her friend and protector, Paw. Paw is injured but fights Bisco relentlessly. Bisco tries to explain to Paw the intricacies of the world of rust and mushrooms, but Paw is skeptical. Milo, Bisco, and Jabi continue their journey to Akita to find the Sabikui mushroom.

In episodes four to six, Bisco and Milo meet Akutagawa, Bisco’s old friend who is a crab. Milo, being unable to properly ride Akutagawa, is constantly thrown off. Eventually, a girl with pink hair tries to steal Akutagawa, but Bisco comes to their defense. The trio meets the girl again after she chokes on something. Milo, being a doctor, attends to her and discovers that she has an underlying illness.

Sabikui Bisco is an anime with a unique and intriguing storyline. The animation is stunning, and the characters are lovable and relatable. The mix of action, adventure, and fantasy makes it an enjoyable watch for viewers who love a good anime. The combination of Japanese culture and post-apocalyptic themes makes it stand out from other anime out there. Overall, Sabikui Bisco is an exciting show that is definitely worth watching.
