As revealed in One Piece Chapter 1085, Eiichiro Oda once again surprises the readers with the power of the Gorosei. It is suspected that the formidable power that has been revealed is the result of a devil fruit.
The chapter depicts Sabo’s brave attempt to rescue King Cobra from Im Sama’s attack. Sabo saves the king by attacking the powerful Gorosei. In the attack, the Gorosei is thrown back, with one of its members even groaning in pain. However, the Gorosei doesn’t take Sabo’s attack lying down and immediately transforms into a giant.
The transformation of the Gorosei into a giant, however, is not explicitly shown in the chapter. Eiichiro Oda only gives a glimpse of the transformation in the form of a black silhouette.
But this silhouette is enough to confirm the suspicion that the Gorosei’s power comes from the consumption of a devil fruit. The devil fruit, in particular, is the Tai Tau no mi, a Mythical Zoan devil fruit that takes the form of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. It is believed that Saturn, one of the Gorosei members currently stationed in Egghead, has consumed this devil fruit.
Another possibility as to why the Gorosei has consumed the devil fruit is that they were forced to do so by Im Sama. Im Sama may have wanted the leaders of the World Government to possess formidable powers.
It should be emphasized, however, that this article is purely for entertainment and has no intention of altering the One Piece story created by Eiichiro Oda. Fans of the manga and anime should eagerly anticipate the next reveal.
