As One Piece 1085 came out, it brought a massive shock to its fans. One of the biggest surprises was related to Sabo’s real identity. Sabo, the chief of staff of the Revolutionary Army, turned out to be a member of the strongest race in the One Piece universe, the Clan ‘D.’ Imperial regent Im Sama finally revealed some of the mysteries of One Piece after killing Nefertari Cobra. Sabo fought against Im Sama and the Gorosei to save Cobra, but surprisingly, Alabasta’s king himself helped him escape death.
Unfortunately, Cobra died after being hit by Im Sama’s shadow arrows. It is strongly assumed that the devil fruit power of the world ruler was the source of those arrows. Before his death, Cobra revealed a message related to Clan ‘D’ to Sabo. He hoped Sabo would deliver the message to Monkey D Luffy and Nefertari Vivi. According to the pictures of One Piece 1085, both Im Sama and Gorosei turned into terrifying figures that even Sabo was surprised to see.
Amidst the chaos in Marijoa, Sabo had a flashback of his childhood with Ace and Luffy. Sabo also realized that he was given the initial ‘D’ in his name, ‘Sa D. Bo,’ by Ace after feeling curious about their names. With this truth revealed, the One Piece universe now has 14 characters who are members of the Clan ‘D.’ Here is the list of those 14 characters:

Sabo is the newest member of the Clan ‘D’ after the revelation from Nefertari Cobra. He became a member right after Nefertari Cobra revealed that he and everyone else is ‘D.’ Cobra made this statement to Sabo.
Aside from the revelation about Sabo’s identity, One Piece 1085 also showed that there is a destiny attached to the Clan ‘D.’ The involvement of powerful characters in this clan has become more apparent. These characters have added a new level of excitement to the One Piece universe.
