Arthur then receives a report that a mercenary soldier named Steven is among the people who attend the cult. Steven, however, denies being a soldier, but Arthur and his henchmen don’t believe him. They demand that Steven surrenders the scarab from his pocket, and he easily complies. However, his body rejects giving up the scarab, and a mysterious voice orders him not to give it away. Arthur’s henchmen then hold Steven while they try to take the scarab, resulting in them collapsing mysteriously. Steven escapes and realizes that he is being hunted by Arthur’s henchmen.
Steven eventually wakes up from what he thought was a dream to find himself in an inexplicable situation. He discovers that his pet fish now has two fins instead of one and that his date didn’t show up. While trying to make sense of everything, he sees Arthur following him.
