Monkey D Dragon, as the leader of the Pasukan Revolusioner, was deemed to have a close relationship with the Holy Knight, as he realized the strength that the group possessed. In fact, there is a One Piece theory that Dragon was a former member of the Holy Knight due to the movement carried out by the Pasukan Revolusioner. With Dragon’s knowledge of the Holy Knight’s power, he decided to conduct several attacks on the World Government, and even moved the Pasukan Revolusioner towards Mariejoa.
The Holy Knight or Ksatria Suci is considered the World Government’s strongest military group, even more powerful than Cipher Pol and the Navy. The Holy Knight is also regarded as a group that operates directly under the command of Im Sama. If the assumption about Dragon being a member of the Holy Knight is true, it would prove that he is also incredibly strong.
Eiichiro Oda has yet to show the true strength of Dragon. However, evidence of him being a former member of the Holy Knight proves his abilities. Many One Piece theories also discuss Dragon’s strength, including his reported Dewa-like abilities, similar to Sun God Nika Luffy. Dragon has been confirmed to have the haoshoku haki power, and his abilities are above average compared to other Pasukan Revolusioner members.
If Dragon was once assumed to be a former Admiral, then with all of his strong abilities, it would make more sense if he was a former member of the Holy Knight group. The existence of the Monkey family like Luffy and Garp, as well as the members of the Revolusioner Army, proves that Monkey D Dragon is a truly powerful character. The only reason Luffy could leave the Holy Knight group was his strong desire for peace and anti-violence, as mentioned by one of Vegapunk’s clones when recounting the event in Ohara.
Aside from Dragon, another One Piece character believed to be a part of the Holy Knight is Shanks, as seen in the silhouette of the Holy Knight shown in Chapter 1083 of the manga. However, all the truth regarding this matter has not been officially confirmed by Eiichiro Oda. There might be many plot twists in the story of One Piece, just like the promotion of Buggy as a Yonkou.
