Boruto Episode 288: The Dangers of the Karma Power

Posted on

In the latest episode of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, episode 288, the members of Team 7, consisting of Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, and Kawaki, are preparing to face Kara’s upcoming attack. During their training, Sarada suggests they do things normally, while Kawaki wishes for a fight to hasten his improvement. Boruto consequently challenges Kawaki to a duel, and if he loses, he must follow Sarada’s leadership rules.

Prior to their fight, Kawaki advises Boruto to utilize the power of Karma Otsutsuki. Although initially reluctant to do so, Kawaki attacks Boruto with his Karma strength, forcing him to use his own Karma power in self-defense. Unfortunately, using this power could lead to Otsutsuki’s takeover of his body.

The more Boruto uses the Karma power, the more he serves as Momoshiki Otsutsuki’s vessel. If left uncontrolled, Momoshiki Otsutsuki would dominate Boruto’s body utterly. Although Boruto understands the consequences of using the Karma Power, he is still unable to govern its strength.

Boruto’s fate is somewhat similar to Naruto’s past. Both of them possess extraordinary powers that are difficult to manage and frequently slip from their control. When Naruto’s emotions were triggered, he transformed into a nine-tailed fox, a monster that was difficult to command and endangered everyone.

The fantastic abilities of the nine-tailed fox allowed it to control Naruto. Every time Naruto turned into a fox, he would be unaware of what was happening and wound up injuring his friends frequently. Jiraiya even fought Naruto in fox form, causing his body to be injured. Meanwhile, Sakura nearly lost her life as Naruto, unaware of his actions in fox form, almost killed her.

Eventually, Naruto managed to tame the nine-tailed fox named Kurama. Naruto’s new powers enabled him to defeat his enemies during the Fourth Shinobi World War. The key was Naruto’s self-control and refusal to let Kurama win.

In Boruto’s case, he is similar to Naruto, who was unable to govern his supernatural abilities at first. As a result, Boruto must work harder to govern himself and avoid using Momoshiki’s superpowers. Moreover, Boruto must fight against time since his Karma’s power grows stronger each day, overpowering Boruto’s original strength. Boruto has only six months left to remain his true self. Compared to Naruto, Boruto must exert greater restraint.

In conclusion, Boruto’s battle against the Karma power will be a challenging one. He must learn to control and overcome his unruly abilities to ensure his and his friends’ safety. With perseverance and resilience, Boruto can defeat Momoshiki’s grip on his body and emerge as the victor.
