One Piece 1087 finally reveals the mysterious character of Bogard. He is Monkey D Garp’s right-hand man who helped Luffy and Zoro defeat Kurohige’s army. It is speculated that Bogard is Roronoa Zoro’s father due to the similarity of the scar on his left eye and the ability to perform the 3-Sword Style just like Zoro. However, this theory might be debunked as both might have learned the same technique.

Bogard’s appearance in One Piece 1087 adds to the list of unanswered questions and fans are eager to know more about him. It is rumored that Bogard was present during Gol D Roger’s era and was inspired by Garp’s achievements in the marines. Bogard’s admiration for Garp is evident as he followed him without question and fought alongside him in the legendary battle of God Valley, where Garp became a hero of the marines.

As for the 3-Sword Style, the user must undergo special training that requires them to be cursed with the Ashura mark in their left eye. Thus, Zoro and Bogard could have learned the technique separately or together.

Despite the theories, One Piece 1087 also introduces a new plot twist, as the existence of a traitor in Luffy’s group is revealed. However, the suspicion that Zoro is the traitor is unfounded, as he has always been loyal to Luffy and the Topi Jerami pirate crew. In contrast, Vinsmoke Sanji has already betrayed Luffy in the past, but he had legitimate reasons for doing so.
