Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 Episode 10: The Shocking Truth behind Eren’s Rumbling

The highly successful anime series, Attack on Titan Final Season, continues to shock its viewers with the latest episode ending in Eren’s rumbling. All the colossal titans that make up the walls of Maria, Rose, and Sina rise and head towards their founder. This episode revealed the main reason why Grisha stole the Founding Titan from the Reiss family: to talk to the Subject Ymir and reach his goal of eradicating all life outside of Paradis Island.

Eren’s actions represent his personal rage at what the Eldian people have endured. The world hates the Eldian race for their ability to transform into titans, but instead of trying to heal that animosity, Eren aggravates it. Past events justify the world’s biases against the Eldians, and Eren should understand that and seek reconciliation. However, the power Eren and the other titans possess makes them feel powerful and eager to engage in battles.

Eren’s actions have turned him into an antagonist rather than the protagonist. He brutally and senselessly attacks humanity on a large scale. Before the final season, the military of Paradis Island agreed to activate the rumbling to fight the global alliance that threatened to destroy the Eldian race. Activating the rumbling would cause confusion among the other nations, giving Eldia a chance to catch up with the rest of the world’s technology and scientific advancements.

However, Eren’s plan went beyond mere retaliation against his enemies. He planned to genocide all humans outside the walls, a plan far worse than Zeke’s. Eren’s plan involves sacrificing innocent people who have nothing to do with the conflict. Grisha himself stated that Eren’s plan is the most terrible thing anyone could have ever imagined.

But what will Eren gain from this rumbling? He will get nothing but temporary satisfaction at having fulfilled his desires. He will lose everyone, including the Survey Corps, Armin, and even Mikasa. If he wins, he will become ashes, and if he loses, he will become dust.
