Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 12 Series, which includes Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G, is currently available in China and India. However, the brand is now gearing up to launch the Note 12 family in a wider market.

On Monday, March 13, 2023, in an official tweet, Xiaomi confirmed that the global launch of the Redmi Note 12 Series would take place at 11:00 PM (GMT +8) on March 23, 2023.

Reports suggest that the Redmi Note 12 Series might comprise Redmi Note 12 4G and Redmi Note 12S models in addition to the aforementioned 5G models. However, these models have not yet launched in any market.

The Redmi Note 12S is expected to have a similar design to the Redmi Note 11S of the previous year. The new model might have similar specifications to its predecessor, except that it may support fast charging of up to 67W, as opposed to the previous model’s 33W charging.

Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 12 4G could be sold as the “Redmi Note 12” in the global market. It is expected to be the first smartphone powered by Snapdragon 685. The device will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel front camera, a 50-megapixel triple rear camera, a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, and MIUI Android 13 based on 14.

The global versions of Redmi Note 12 5G, Note 12 Pro 5G, and Note 12 Pro+ 5G will be the same as those available in China and India. The models will feature Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset in Note 12 5G and Dimensity 1080 chipset in Note 12 Pro.

In addition to the Redmi Note 12 Series, Redmi is reportedly working on other smartphones, such as the Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+ for different markets. However, there is no clear information yet about whether these devices will also be announced on March 23, 2023.
