Ryomen Sukuna was not always a cursed spirit. He was once a Jujutsu Sorcerer around 1,000 years ago during the Golden Age of Jujutsu. His incredible power made him known as the Imaginary Demon, though he was still human back then. He was so powerful that other sorcerers feared him, afraid that he might be the reason for the extinction of humanity.

Sukuna’s actual appearance has yet to be revealed. When introduced in the series, he had a similar face to Yuji. This was shown when Mahito and Yuji separately entered his domain expansion. However, he still had a human appearance.
According to Satoru Gojo, Sukuna’s real form contains four arms, which is why he has 20 fingers. Additionally, he is said to have two faces. Currently, he appears more frequently with the face of his vessel. But his hair is more jagged, with unique markings on his forehead, nose, cheeks, and stomach. He also has two extra pairs of eyes underneath his regular eyes. In his latest form, he resembles Megumi, Yuji’s friend.
