One Piece is a world of pirates where betrayal often colors the plot of the major arcs. Even in various stories in One Piece, there are several characters who have been noted as being betrayers. The main character of One Piece, Mugiwara No Luffy, has also been a victim of treachery. Here are the top five betrayers in One Piece so far.
1. Scrathmen Apoo
The first betrayer is Scrathmen Apoo. Apoo is one of the thirteen worst generations in One Piece. The case of Apoo’s betrayal occurred when he betrayed Eustass Kid and Basil Hawkins. Initially, Apoo invited Kid and Hawkins to ally with him to face Shanks. But it turned out that Apoo had already made a deal with Kaido to make Hawkins and Kid subordinates. Until one day, Kurohige saw that one of his companions had obtained the devil fruit that he had been longing for. Kurohige then killed his friend and left Shirohige’s pirates. Now, Kurohige has successfully taken the Yonko throne from Shirohige after the One Piece legend died in the Marineford war.
5. York
The latest and most recent betrayer in One Piece is York. York is the other soul of Vegapunk who maintains the Egghead Island. Unfortunately, after knowing that the world government wants to exterminate Vegapunk, York then betrays and kills one by one from the Vegapunk versions. Even York has successfully seized the original Vegapunk in the One Piece series.
