After locating the wreckage, Brock begins his search for the treasure, which he believes is in a safe.
Upon opening the safe, Brock finds only a sketch of a naked young woman wearing the coveted necklace. He publishes the sketch, catching the attention of an elderly woman named Rose Dawson Calvert (Gloria Stuart). Rose calls Brock and claims that the woman in the sketch is her younger self. Brock then invites Rose aboard the Keldysh to share her story of sailing on the Titanic.
