The meeting between Eren Kruger and Grisha Yeager has become a turning point for the Eldian nation in “Attack on Titan”. Grisha’s knowledge of Eldian history has allowed the nation to escape from historical amnesia and understand their true enemy and how to defeat them. The nation’s identity, lost for so long, thanks to Grisha’s notes given to Eren, has been restored. The history of the Eldian people began to be unraveled from the moment Grisha Yeager met Eren Kruger outside Liberio.
During their unauthorized stroll, Grisha and his brother were arrested by the Marley military police. Grisha, along with Eren, and his brother were captured. Unfortunately, upon Grisha’s return, he discovered his brother had been deliberately killed by Marley police dogs. Grisha then witnessed his parents humbling themselves in front of the police despite losing their daughter. This unfair sight made Grisha join the Eldian Restoration team in Liberio, led by the mysterious “Owl,” Eren Kruger, who was disguising himself as a Marley police officer.
Grisha then met Dina Fritz within the restoration group, and they have a son, Zeke. Still, Grisha’s dream of restoring the Eldian nation has been postponed because they were eventually discovered. Zeke reported Grisha and Dina along with other members of the restoration group to the police. They were all sentenced as pure titans and left wandering outside the walls of Paradise, including Dina Fritz. Grisha was the only one to have survived it all. In his last moments, Grisha was saved by Eren Kruger and passed on his Attack Titan power.
From here, Grisha slowly achieved his dream of restoration within the walls of Paradise with his Attack Titan powers, allowing him to see the future. If it weren’t for Grisha’s knowledge of Eldian history passed down through Eren Kruger’s notes, the Eldian nation would have remained in historical amnesia and forever remain in a state of confusion. The outcome could have been catastrophic.
