The Power of Im Sama’s Devil Fruit Revealed in One Piece

Posted on

The latest chapter of One Piece by Eiichiro Oda has revealed some significant details about the battle between Im Sama and Joy Boy, the former ruler of the Ancient Kingdom. The primary focus was on the Devil Fruit that Im Sama possesses and its weaknesses.

It has been confirmed that Im Sama’s Devil Fruit is the Mythical Zoan model Dark Seiryu. This kind of devil fruit allows its user to transform into a monster. However, the devil fruit is weak against Hito Hito no Mi, Model Nika.

Interestingly, Joy Boy had Hito Hito no Mi as his Devil Fruit. But, he still lost the battle against Im Sama 800 years ago. The reason for this defeat was due to two factors. Firstly, the war between them took place at night, and Im Sama’s devil fruit powers amplified in the presence of the moon. On the other hand, Joy Boy’s Devil Fruit had its power source from the sun, which was absent at night. Secondly, Joy Boy was betrayed by 20 other ancient kings who wanted to overthrow him from power.

Out of the total 27 kingdoms, Ancient Kingdom ruled over, seven loyal kingdoms, including Elbaf, were still on Joy Boy’s side. After the war ended, the loyal kingdom’s Raja Bonaris migrated to Elbaf with his people, and they remain unaffiliated with the World Government, the successor of the 20-kingdom alliance that betrayed Joy Boy.
