The puzzle surrounding the identity of Im Sama in One Piece remains one of the biggest mysteries to date. However, in One Piece 1084, Oda slowly revealed who Im Sama really is, linking the story back to the kingdom of Alabasta. According to YouTube Anime OP, Queen Lily of Alabasta is strongly suspected to be Im Sama. The speculation gained traction after Cobra mentioned her name in the episode. In addition, Im Sama is also believed to have a close relationship with Joy Boy, as indicated by the giant straw hat in Marijoa. Like Im Sama, Joy Boy is another character that has yet to be fully revealed in One Piece.

Repeatedly mentioned in One Piece, Joy Boy’s history has not been disclosed. The connection between Im Sama and Joy Boy is evident from a clue that predicts their origins in the same century. Within the One Piece story, the Void Century remains a secret that has not been unveiled yet. Oda has also not given any green light regarding the truth of this century. However, some kings who questioned the Void Century were victimized, and one of the recent casualties is Cobra, the king of Alabasta. He was murdered in Im Sama’s room in front of the Gorosei after inquiring about the D clan and Queen Lily’s secret letter to the Nefertari family.
