The Fourth Shinobi War is one of the biggest events in Naruto’s history, started by Obito Uchiha with the goal of casting the world into an illusion using the Unlimited Tsukuyomi. In this war, all shinobi villages unite to defeat Madara Uchiha. One of the things that fans paid attention to was the resurrection of many legendary ninjas. However, there were some characters missing that fans would have loved to see on the battlefield. Let’s take a look at the five characters who weren’t brought back to life during the Fourth Shinobi War.
1. Jiraiya
Jiraiya is one of the Legendary Sannin and one of the most influential ninjas in Konoha. He is loved by fans, and many would have liked to see him during the Fourth Shinobi War. Unfortunately, Kabuto couldn’t bring him back to life since he couldn’t find his body. Jiraiya’s body sank to the bottom of the sea after he was defeated by Pain.
2. Sakumo Hatake
Sakumo Hatake, also known as the White Fang of Konoha, is Kakashi Hatake’s father and one of the most influential ninjas in Konoha. It is said that he was as strong as the Legendary Sannin. It’s a pity that Kabuto didn’t bring back a ninja as powerful as Sakumo for the Fourth Shinobi War.
3. Shisui Uchiha
Shisui Uchiha was a genius from the Uchiha clan, and if he hadn’t died young, he could have become Itachi Uchiha’s greatest rival. Shisui was stronger than Itachi in several ways, thanks to his Kotoamatsukami technique, which allows him to control someone without them realizing it. Kabuto wanted to bring back Shisui, but he couldn’t get his DNA.
4. Rin Nohara
Rin Nohara is indirectly responsible for the Fourth Shinobi War, and her death was the reason Obito joined Madara. If she had been brought back to life, it might have changed the course of the war. At the very least, her presence might have made Obito switch sides more quickly.
5. Kisame Hoshigaki
Kisame Hoshigaki was Itachi’s partner in Akatsuki, and they were known as the most dangerous duo in the organization. Kisame himself was a former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist and possessed the Samehada. It would have been interesting to see Itachi and Kisame reunited during the Fourth Shinobi War, but Kabuto had difficulty getting Kisame’s DNA.
In conclusion, these five characters were missing during the Fourth Shinobi War, but it’s possible that Masashi Kishimoto had his reasons for not bringing them back. Nonetheless, fans would have loved to see them on the battlefield.
