The Fate of Eustass Kid in One Piece Chapter 1087 Revealed: Shanks’ Kindness Confirmed

Posted on

As per the latest confirmation from Eiichiro Oda, the strongest Eustass Kid’s fate has finally been revealed in the previous chapter 1079 of One Piece. The leaks for chapter 1087 suggest that in the unmatched fight between Kid and Shanks, Yonko Shanks emerged victorious while Kid was seen dying. However, Kid was seen alive in the previous chapter, and according to Eiichiro Oda, Kid is a part of the Final War in One Piece. This means that Kid is not dead yet and has survived the fight against Shanks.

In the battle, Kid collapsed after receiving a single attack from Shanks’ Kamusari, a powerful weapon that can even kill someone instantly. Even Kid’s accomplice Killer was badly injured. But despite the lethalness of Kamusari, Shanks spared Kid’s life by not attacking his vital points. It is believed that Shanks knows the future and thus, he might have intentionally kept Kid alive. It also confirms that Shanks is not as ruthless as he was assumed to be.

This act of kindness also disproves the theory that Shanks is a part of the World Government and Gorosei’s puppet. Shanks’ unique abilities and how he came to possess Kamusari have been subjects of many theories. Kamusari, which is the deadliest attack of Gol D Roger, can only be used by a person holding the title of “King of the Pirates.”

Contrary to popular belief, Shanks did not learn Kamusari from Roger. He only learned the basic technique from Silvers Rayleigh and has not fully mastered it yet. His technique is not on par with that of Roger’s, and thus, Shanks has not fulfilled the requirement of becoming the King of the Pirates yet.

The use of Kamusari is by channeling Haoshoku Haki into the sword and swinging it 180 degrees forward with a tilt. The attack makes the sword emit a powerful Haki that can cause immense damage. This technique was first seen when Gol D Roger fought against Kozuki Oden.

As a member of Roger’s pirate crew, it is reasonable to assume that Shanks has learned Kamusari. However, the source confirmed that he learned the basic Kamusari technique from Silvers Rayleigh.

In conclusion, the fate of Eustass Kid in One Piece Chapter 1087 has been revealed, and Shanks’ kindness has been confirmed. The battle between Kid and Shanks saw the use of Kamusari, the powerful weapon of Gol D Roger. Although Shanks emerged victorious, he spared Kid’s life by not attacking his vital points. Finally, it is confirmed that Shanks has not yet fulfilled all the requirements to become the King of the Pirates.
