The One Piece storyline has entered the Egghead arc where a battle ensues between the pirates and the World Government. Amidst the chaos, a group of pirates led by Kurohige makes their move to snatch the opportunity. The main goal of Kurohige’s crew is to seize the three copies of the road poneglyphs owned by Luffy. Marshall D Teach assigns a crucial mission to some of Kurohige’s crew members to take the road poneglyph copies from the Mugiwara. One of the members is a former Admiral, Kuzan.
Kuzan carries out some of the missions given by Marshall D Teach, such as kidnapping one of Big Mom’s children, Charlotte Pudding. Kurohige wants to read and interpret the inscriptions on the road poneglyphs, and so they have kidnapped Pudding. However, the three-eyed tribe that Kurohige now holds is unable to read the poneglyph inscriptions. Alongside seizing the road poneglyph copies from Luffy’s crew, Aokiji also plans to kidnap Nico Robin, who is an archaeologist from Ohara island and can interpret the inscriptions.
Aokiji has met Robin several times and has saved her life, knowing that she has the potential to become a great archaeologist. But he is forced to kidnap her after successfully seizing the road poneglyph copies and if Luffy is unaware that Robin and the copies are gone, it will be the golden opportunity for Kurohige to find the last road poneglyph to reach Raftel.
Aokiji aims to be the pirate king of the sea by capturing the strong and knowledgeable archaeologist Robin who can decipher the ancient inscriptions in the poneglyphs. Kurohige can also benefit from Aokiji’s actions by protecting Robin from harm as she possesses a valuable skill set. However, Robin’s loyalty to Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates will prove challenging as she has already pledged her allegiance to them.
The fight for the road poneglyphs between Aokiji and Kurohige is just the beginning of the chaos that will erupt in this Egghead arc. Who will come out on top? Will Kurohige succeed in his plan to become the pirate king, or will Aokiji claim the title instead? One Piece fans can brace themselves for an action-packed battle as the storyline unfolds.
