Synopsis
Kang Dae Man (Kwon Sang Woo) decides to sell his comic book store to start a private detective agency with No Tae Soo (Sung Dong Il). However, their wives are not supportive of their decision. Despite having no clients, they try to find one by hanging up flyers, but their efforts prove futile.
One day, a restaurant owner hires them to investigate why his food tastes bad. While Dae Man analyzes the situation, Tae Soo feels offended that his partner does not take their work seriously. This causes a rift between them, and Dae Man suggests they split their earnings.
Their first client turns out to be a pregnant woman named Seo Hee Yeon (Seo Young Hee), who has been kicked out of the police station after reporting her fiancé’s disappearance. The police believe he was hit by a train, but she is convinced it was not an accident. She tells the detectives about a strange message she received from a man named Lee Dae Hyun (Lee Kwang Soo), warning her about a series of child deaths in an orphanage. Hee Yeon paid the detectives 50 million won to find out what happened to her fiancé.
Despite their efforts, the detectives cannot locate any evidence of Hee Yeon’s fiancé at the train station where he supposedly died. Tae Soo contacts Detective Song, who is his friend in the police department, and he confirms that Lee Dae Hyun’s message was from a disposable phone that cannot be traced. The detectives continue their investigation, but no matter how hard they try, they cannot find any clues.
As they dig deeper, Tae Soo and Dae Man begin to unravel leads that put them on a dangerous path. Eventually, they discover the truth behind Hee Yeon’s fiancé’s disappearance and the child deaths in the orphanage.
