Synopsis

Komi now has a few friends, but she has yet to reach her desired goal. Despite still struggling to communicate, Komi has made progress compared to before. In episodes 1 and 2, Najimi suddenly touches Komi’s cheek with her hand, which surprises Komi. As a result, Komi decides to do the same to Tadano.

Before going to class, Najimi demands a book from Komi, as she stated in her text message. Then, Najimi exchanges the book and hands a small notebook to Komi. The little notebook is meant to be used by Komi to record the names of all the friends she has met so far. Nervously, Komi asks Tadano to write his name in the notebook.

After Tadano’s name is written as her first friend, Komi continues to ask her other friends to write their names in the notebook as well. At the same time, Makoto Katai, a new student who is nervous, arrives in the class. Katai’s appearance, which looks like a delinquent child, scares the other students except for Najimi and Tadano, who remain unfazed. Tadano even takes Katai around the school to introduce him to different places on campus.

Initially, Najimi was excited about the upcoming winter season, but at the same time, she felt frustrated. Given that winter is when exams begin, it immediately reminded her of Nakanaka. Nakanaka then invites Komi, Tadano, and Najimi to her house to study. However, Yamai also went to Nakanaka’s house because she always wants to be close to Komi.

Upon arriving at Nakanaka’s house, Nakanaka becomes restless with Yamai’s antics, and they argue over who can win Komi’s heart. Although Komi gives an answer that makes them both happy, Nakanaka still feels dissatisfied. She then challenges Yamai to a game and decides who is the best for Komi.

When exams arrive, Komi accidentally drops her pencil. However, because she is too scared, Komi doesn’t dare ask the teacher to pick it up for her. Tadano quickly helps Komi by dropping his pencil near her and then realizes that he doesn’t have an eraser, so Komi decides to return the favor. The eraser that Komi gives Tadano becomes a precious item to him.

The next day, a strong typhoon hits and makes Komi quite frightened, but a phone call from Tadano makes Komi a little calmer, and she asks Tadano to accompany her a little longer. The typhoon has passed, and school is back in session.

At school, Yamai is obsessed with wanting to see Komi’s underwear. She does various things to try and see it, but ultimately fails. The story then shifts to some classmates of Tadano who are sitting not far from him, suddenly imagining which girls in the class they would go out with. They imagine several girls and imagine romantic relationships, but they struggle when imagining going out with Komi. On the other hand, Tadano suddenly imagines himself dating Komi and becomes embarrassed.

The story continues with Komi wanting to visit a cat cafe that she saw on the news. Initially, she wanted to invite Tadano and Najimi, but they both couldn’t come. Then Komi goes to the cat cafe with Oniemine and Otori. Upon arriving, there are no cats approaching Komi, and she becomes jealous of Onemine and Otori. Then suddenly, a black cat named Chocolat approaches and makes Komi happy.

The next day at school, Yamai and Najimi play the game “I Love You,” and if the opponent responds, they lose. Yamai tries hard to say “I Love You” to Komi, but there is no reaction at all. Finally, Tadano is asked to join the game, and he becomes nervous.
