The year is 1899, and the ship Kerberos is sailing from England to New York. Many of the passengers are hopeful immigrants from various European countries seeking a new start in America. Maura wakes up from a nightmare and helps Tove, a pregnant woman, with a difficult delivery. The captain receives a telegram from another ship, the Prometheus, which had disappeared several months prior. He decides to change course and heads towards the coordinates of the lost ship.

The Prometheus is indeed found, and the captain and a few crew members board the vessel. They find a hair tie that belonged to the captain’s daughter, and a little boy carrying a small pyramid inside a closet. The boy is taken to Maura’s room, where she meets Daniel, a mysterious man who introduces himself. Captain Eyk hears his daughter singing and is transported back in time to his home, which burned down with his wife and daughters inside. One of his daughters was wearing the same hair tie that he found on the Prometheus. The captain wakes up and discovers a small room hidden under his bed. He decides to tow the Prometheus back to England, but the passengers object vehemently. It becomes clear that they all have dark secrets in their past that they don’t want to revisit. Maura shows the little boy a mysterious letter she received, which turns out to be from the same mysterious sender who sent a letter to the captain.

Ling Yi panics inside the box but is saved by Olek. Meanwhile, the captain finds the Prometheus passenger list and keeps it for himself. Franz, one of the passengers, rebels against the captain’s decision and informs everyone of Ada’s death, arming the passengers with weapons. Olek and Jerome are tasked with getting rid of the passenger’s dead bodies. The captain, Ramiro, and the crew are captured. Iben accuses the little boy of causing the problems and leads Franz and his group on a search for him, but he is nowhere to be found. Maura discovers the boy inside the small room under the bed. Olek and Jerome make their escape, as do the captain and Ramiro. However, the passengers interrupt as they try to board a lifeboat.
