Have you ever watched a movie and feel emotionally attached to the character? If not, you need to watch The Terminal, one of Tom Hanks’s best performances. This movie is inspired by a true story of an Iranian refugee named Mehran Karimi Nasseri and directed by the renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg.

The Terminal follows the story of Viktor Navorski, played by Tom Hanks, who visits America to get a signature from one of the famous American jazz stars, Benny Golson, for his deceased father. But upon arriving in America, his home country Krakozhia is overthrown by rebels, leaving him stateless and unable to enter America or return to his country.

Despite the language barrier, the immigration officers at the John F. Kennedy airport let Viktor stay in the terminal until a decision is made regarding his passport. Viktor gradually adapts to his new situation and befriends the airport staff, including a beautiful United Airlines flight attendant, Amelia Warren (Catherine Zeta-Jones). As Viktor spends more time in the terminal, he discovers his talent in construction and starts working on a renovation project at the airport.

However, not everyone at the airport is as kind as the airport staff towards Viktor. One of the immigration officers, Frank Dixon (Stanley Tucci), feels threatened by Viktor’s presence at the airport and tries to find ways to get rid of him. But Viktor remains resilient and continues to survive and thrive in the terminal.
