The movie revolves around the lives of three siblings, Oh In Joo, Oh In Kyung, and Oh In Hye, who live with economic limitations. In Joo and In Kyung work hard to fulfill their sister In Hye’s dreams of studying abroad. However, their lives turn into a mystery when In Joo receives a large sum of money, which turns out to be part of an illegal fund.

Little Women begins with Oh In Joo borrowing money from his only friend at work, Jin Hwa Young. However, Hwa Young is found dead soon after the loan, leaving behind 2 billion won for In Joo. In Joo gets interrogated as he was the only friend that Hwa Young had, and this triggers a chain of events that end up endangering his life.
In the first four episodes, we see the siblings’ struggle with their financial status as In Joo works as a financial company employee, and In Kyung is a news reporter. Both siblings work hard to fulfill their younger sister’s dream of studying abroad. However, their plans take a hit when their mother takes off with the money they had saved.
In Joo then borrows money from his friend, Hwa Young. But, shortly after, Hwa Young is found dead, leaving the siblings in a dilemma. Following Hwa Young’s death, In Joo discovers 2 billion won in her locker. The plot thickens further as In Joo witnesses his boss, Director Shin Hyeon Min’s abrupt death. Simultaneously, In Kyung stumbles upon the tragic death of a witness whom she contacted to expose Park Jae Sang’s criminal activities.
As a reporter, In Kyung feels that something is not right about Park Jae Sang’s affairs. This is because several witnesses who were involved with him are found dead. Her younger sister, In Hye, chooses to side with Park Jae Sang, causing more trouble for the siblings. Even though In Joo and In Kyung had kept the criminality of Park Jae Sang hidden from In Hye, she chooses to stay at his residence for the promise of studying abroad.
However, In Joo happens to meet Won Sang Woo, his brother-in-law and Park Jae Sang’s enemy. In Joo gets hold of his secret financial books, which detail Shin’s illegal financial activities. Choi Do Il, a financial consultant, discovers that Hwa Young had used In Joo’s name to acquire assets in Singapore. Do Il then advises In Joo to accept Won Sang A’s offer and become her assistant, despite In Kyung’s objections.
The plot reaches its climax in episodes 5-6, where In Joo is officially appointed Won Sang Ah’s assistant. Meanwhile, In Kyung decides to embarrass Park Jae Sang in front of the media by refusing his offer to pay for In Hye’s expensive treatment. In Joo gets stunned when Do Il tells him that Hwa Young had used his name to purchase properties in Singapore.
