Shanks’ Strength and Yonko Status in the One Piece World

Posted on

Shanks, also known as Akagami no Shanks, is a force to be reckoned with in the world of One Piece. He is known as one of the masters of Haki, which makes his strength undeniable. During his battle against Captain Kid, it was evident that Shanks was dominant in terms of power. With just one attack, he was able to render Kid helpless. This is remarkable, considering that Kid had just defeated a Yonko, Big Mom. Shanks is also a Yonko, one of the four most powerful pirates in the One Piece world.

The Yonko in the One Piece world consist of four people: Shanks, Marshall D Teach or Kurohige, Monkey D Luffy, and Doke no Buggy. However, many wonder about Shanks’ current status as a Yonko. This is because Monkey D Luffy became a Yonko six years ago when he defeated Kaido and overthrew his rule in Wano. Since the era of the Rocks Pirates disbanded, some of their former members have become Yonko, including Big Mom, Kaido, and Shirohige. However, it is unclear whether Shiki, one of their former crew members, is still alive or not.

Despite being a Yonko, Shanks has never defeated anyone to earn the title. He only gained the title because his every movement is considered a threat by the World Government. He stole the Gomu Gomu no Mi from CP9 and engaged in direct duels with Cipher Pol and the Marine Admirals, which increased his bounty. This is the reason for his Yonko status.

In the One Piece world, Shanks is known as one of the strongest Yonko, and his mastery of Haki is unparalleled. He is a fierce fighter and a wise leader, respected and feared by many. His status as a Yonko is not based on defeating other Yonko but on his actions and influence in the world.
