One Piece 1085: Sabo Reveals How He Survived Im Sama’s Attack

In the latest chapter of One Piece, Eiichiro Oda finally revealed the secret behind Sabo’s survival after being attacked by Im Sama. Sabo was confirmed to be safe after appearing in chapter 1082, but the question remained, how did he manage to survive the attack? The answer lies in Sabo’s Devil Fruit power, the Mera Mera No Mi.

The Awakening of the Mera Mera No Mi allowed Sabo to become a fire-human, making him immune to fire attacks. Im Sama’s attack was not coated with Haki, making Sabo’s fruit power effective against the attack. Im Sama targeted Sabo because he knew about the existence of Im Sama in Marijoa, a fact only known by the Gorosei. The attack also destroyed the island of Lulusia where Sabo was located at the time.

Sabo revealed that the upcoming Battle Royale of the Yonkou was predicted by Im Sama, and the Government created a trap for the Four Emperors. Sabo requested Dragon to gather all the Revolutionary forces and thwart Im Sama’s plan during the Battle Royale. Sabo believes that one of the Four Emperors is working with the Government, and the last Road Poneglyph is in their possession.

The theory suggests that the Emperor in question could be either Shanks or Kurohige. While the possibility of Shanks being the traitor is unlikely, Kurohige is more plausible because of his history of doing whatever it takes to get what he wants. Nevertheless, Oda has a reputation for constantly subverting readers’ expectations.

In the end, fans will have to wait for the next chapter of One Piece to see if Luffy falls into the Government’s trap. Will Dragon and the Revolutionary forces be able to stop Im Sama’s plan? The answer will undoubtedly be an exciting twist for One Piece enthusiasts.
