Synopsis:

Owen and Claire now live together, in isolation, with Maisie, to keep her whereabouts hidden from those who are searching for her. Meanwhile, Dr. Ellie Sattler investigates the ancient grasshopper outbreak that is damaging America’s crops. She approaches Dr. Alan Grant, and together they plot to steal blood samples from the Biosyn laboratory, a corporation that’s presently in charge of dinosaur habitats. Ellie suspects that Biosyn intentionally released the grasshoppers, which caused chaos in the farming industry and would allow Biosyn to dominate the market. Thus, Ellie and Alan head to Biosyn’s lab in Italy, and they are aided by Dr. Ian Malcolm, who is one of the lab’s instructors.
Maisie rebels against Owen and Claire’s isolated lifestyle and attempts to escape from them. During an attempt to bike away, Maisie is kidnapped by the leader of the criminals, Rainn Delacourt, who also abducts a baby raptor, Blue, who was under Owen’s care. They are taken to Malta at the command of Dr. Lewis Dodgson, Biosyn’s leader. With the help of the CIA, Owen and Claire attempt to sabotage the mission to retrieve Maisie. Owen confronts Delacourt in the black market, and Claire pursues Soyona Santos, Lewis’s henchwoman. It’s later revealed that Delacourt and Santos’s appearance in Malta was merely a diversion, as Maisie and the baby raptor had already been brought to the Biosyn lab.
Meanwhile, after acquiring access to the lab from Ian, Ellie and Alan sneak into the forbidden laboratory to collect samples of the blood-sucking grasshopper. Before the emergency alarm could be triggered due to Mai’s escape, they manage to steal the samples. Ellie and Alan meet Maisie and are then rescued by Ramsay Cole, Lewis’s assistant, who sees the corruption within the company. With the aid of Kayla Watts, Owen and Claire fly to the Dolomites, where they find the dinosaur sanctuary that also doubles as Biosyn’s laboratory. Although the plane is damaged and they are separated, they meet Maisie, Ellie, and Alan, who have escaped from Lewis’s sabotage. Ian and Ramsay unite to find a way out of the facility.

The movie follows a well-established formula, with an antagonist who pretends to protect the dinosaurs but has an ulterior motive. It is inevitable, of course, that many individuals will search for ways to capitalize on their newfound existence. As in the previous movie, where a member of the staff plotted their heinous scheme, Biosyn’s leader, Dr. Lewis Dodgson, constructs his own plan. Only a handful of his staff were aware of the grand scheme he had planned.
The movie’s thrilling plot revolves around Lewis’s chase for Maisie and the baby raptor. Initially, Lewis expects to benefit from their genetic material before realizing that it was Dr. Henry Wu’s subtle agenda to halt the grasshopper infestation. The question of what happens next keeps the viewers at the edge of their seats till the end. One of the significant confusing aspects of the movie is Lewis’s motives for pursuing the two. The essence of the genetic material that he seeks did not figure in his plans but was part of Wu’s sinister intentions.
