The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will not only continue the story left behind from the first season but also explore the past of Satoru Gojo and the Shibuya Incident. These two arcs are direct adaptations from the manga, answering major questions posed in the first season.
The trailer gives glimpses of Gojo Satoru and Suguru Geto, comrades during their high school days. This flashback is expected to explain their current contentious relationship.
2. Release Date
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on July 6, 2023. Hopefully, there will be no release time differences between Indonesia and Japan.
MAPPA and Toho Animation have not yet confirmed the total number of episodes. However, based on previous seasons, the second season is predicted to consist of 20 to 24 episodes, airing through the end of 2023.
3. Manga Chapters Adapted
The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will cover the Gojo’s past arc, adapting chapters 65-79 from the manga. This arc follows Gojo and Geto on a mission to escort the Star Plasma to Tengen.
Additionally, the Shibuya Incident arc will be featured in the second season, adapting chapters 79-136 from the manga. This arc revolves around Geto and his new alliance’s plan to seal Gojo.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 serves as a prequel to the first season of the anime series. While the movie’s story does not directly connect to Season 2, it is still recommended to watch it. A post-credits scene in the film hints at the second season, with Yuta returning to Japan and taking up a role in the series.

In Indonesia, the first season and the movie Jujutsu Kaisen 0 are available on Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, and Vidio. Although no official announcement has been made, it is highly likely that major streaming platforms will air the second season in Indonesia.
