Eiichiro Oda Drops Clues on Shanks’ Connection to Holy Knights in One Piece Chapter 1083
One Piece manga chapter 1083 has left fans in a state of confusion after Eiichiro Oda revealed the silhouettes of nine members of the Holy Knights. Although the chapter did not mention Shanks directly, the appearance of one of the silhouettes looked eerily similar to the Yonko, leaving fans speculating about his involvement with Im Sama’s organization.
Shanks has been a popular character in One Piece since the beginning, and fans are eager to learn more about him as he has had very little screen time in the series. After years of his passive behavior, fans were thrilled when he finally joined in the quest to find One Piece, and even more ecstatic to watch him fight against Kid’s pirates. Throughout his appearances in the series, one of Shanks’ most iconic attributes has been the scar on his face, a result of his fight with Blackbeard in the past.
When Shanks met with Gorosei in chapter 956, fans were left confused. Not only was it astounding that a pirate could easily enter Marijoa and meet the highest-ranking members of the World Government, but Shanks’ appearance was also unusual, as for the first time, he did not have the iconic scar on his face.
Eiichiro Oda has dropped several hints about Shanks’ character, including his origin from the Figerland family, one of the noble tenryuubito families living in Marijoa. Hence, it is not unlikely that Shanks has a twin who was raised and trained in Marijoa and eventually became a member of the Holy Knights. Moreover, some fans have speculated that the Holy Knight who looks like Shanks could be a creation of Vegapunk, who was known for creating powerful clones.
Although there is no confirmed theory about the connection between Shanks and the Holy Knights, Eiichiro Oda has given enough clues to keep fans guessing. One thing is for sure, the appearance of the Holy Knights has once again set the One Piece fandom ablaze with excitement and theories.
